OLD MAPLE TREE, FOR DAVID AND DAVID

I have photographed this maple many times. The tree is, just like me , getting older. Maybe that is the reason I feel an affinity with this beautiful old maple. Anyway I also have come full circle it seems because I am really enjoying working in black and white, which is were I started when I became interested in photography. Of course, instead of working in the darkroom, I now use a computer but the creative process is basically the same.

Nice textures and ambient light in the background foliage Mike. I am gradually finding that I am drifting back to the darkroom. I still love that old process....
classical music or blues playing on the radio and watching prints appear out of the trays. Crazy eh?
Thanks for the print, love it! Dave

Just beautiful!
I remember taking your Artsperience workshops in the summers of 1982 and 1984 and learned so much from you during your talks, outings and darkroom work.
Am so sorry that you had to bring these summer offerings to a halt.
Such is life.

This photo is almost reminiscent of the tree from Alice in Wonderland. You know the one that had the hole that Alice fell down? To me it looks whimsical.
