LAST CONTINENTAL TRAIN, NORTH BAY

As I looking through my files, I came across some negatives of the last continental train arriving at the North bay railway station. It was a bitter cold night on January 14, 1990 but many people came to the station to say farewell to the last passenger train coming through this city. It was really the end of a great railway era here in Northern Ontario.

Canadian railways are being abandoned all over Northern Ontario.
Thank goodness people like you still have records of some of them. Good shot.
Also congrats for having 3 of your archived prints on display at the WKP Kennedy Gallery downtown.

Brings back fond memories, Mike.
Travelled on that cross country train back in '68 and '69 from Vancouver to Montreal. Thanks for sharing this shot from your archives.
