EARLY BREAKUP

It is amazing how quickly the ice is melting. I made this picture yesterday and it looks to me that the lake could be ice free in another week or ,at most, ten days. This would be the earliest I have seen that all snow and ice has disappeared since we moved to North Bay forty two years ago.

They say that it will be a record year for the lake to be ice free. I went back to the end of Cranberry trail to take more pictures of the ice accumulation but it is gone

Hey Mike,
This shot brings back a lot of memories after some 35 years in North Bay. Tulip trees and Magnolias are out in full bloom here, and the rest of the trees are all leafing out. So very strange for this time of the year. Thanks for this. Dave
