PORT ROYAL, NOVA SCOTIA


Port Royal is the earliest settlement in North America north of Florida. I saw this window which attracted me because odf the texture and colour. Glass was expensive at the time of settlement so people used a form of parchment instead. Of course in time the windows would deteriorate, the result of which you can see in this image.

I like these patterns. The flower and the "antique" blue color of the frame makes it more nostalgic.
