The camera is my tool. Through it I give reason to everything around me. -- André Kertész (1894-1985)

EVENING, LAKE NIPISSING, ONTARIO
the sunsets over lake Nipissing are always different and very colourful. This lake always fascinates me but I also know how careful you have to be when photographing sunsets because the images can become simple calendar pictures.

FIRST ROCKY, LAKE NIPISSING, ONTARIO
I have lived for many years on the shores of lake Nipissing. This lake is a very prominent feature here in North Bay. I like this lake because it is unique. It is a large lake and reminds me of the ocean. Because of the shallowness of this lake it can become quite wild with large waves. The shore line is also very varied from sandy beaches to nice rock formations.I hope you will enjoy these images.Forr this image I used a Rolleiflex with a 80 mm Planar lens.

PEGGY'S COVE, NOVA SCOTIA
Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia is probably the most visited spot in that province or, for that matter, in the Maritimes. It is not only the lighthouse but also the unusually interesting rocky landscape. This picture was made late in the evening on fast film. The light was almost gone but it ended up as one of my favourite images.

OLD MILL, COBALT, ONTARIO
Visited Cobalt, Ontario yesterday. The place is a grim reminder of the damage we do to the earth in order to extract what we need. In this case its silver. The basis for photographic film and paper. I have taken many pictures of Cobalt over the years and will publish a series later on my blog.Camer: Olympus C8080W
