MUSICIANS WALL, NORTH BAY

It has been a long time since my last posting, but after this long Winter, Spring has finally reluctantly arrived . So here an update on the musicians wall by Jeff Marceau on McIntyre street here in North Bay. I had posted a picture titled Gord Downey and Leonard Cohen in October 2017. The wall has been greatly expanded to include many great Canadian musicians and singers.

    Interesting shot, Mike.
We have contributed so much to the universal musical world.... and in all genres.
I even see the late great blues guitarist/vocalist Jeff Healey there.
Reminds me a bit of the Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Heart Club album cover from the late '60s.

  2. You are right David. It is a pity that the wall is situated in a narrow alley, which makes it very difficult to get a good photograph showing the whole mural. So I had to make two different panorama views. It works best in black and white.

This is our "Wall of Fame"! It does work best in black and white. I like that the artist painted in white on a black wall as opposed to black on a white wall.
    It gives it more depth.

  4. You are right Mike, not enough room to get an overall shot of the entire mural. Really enjoyed the image and the work that went into it. However, I was rather disappointed to not find some old Canadian Box Players like Walter Ostanek, or Newfoundland's Harry Hibbs...LOL! Just kidding Mike! Really great B & W image, and will definitely look it up next trip to the Great White North. I hear you've had a brutal Winter....would you believe I miss it? Cheers. Dave

Walter O, the only Canadian to ever win as many Grammy Awards. Only problem was no one ever remembers the Polka category at the Grammy's.
