OLD HOUSE, ELM STREET, TORONTO

In some of my earlier postings I talked about the paintings of Albert Franck so it was quite a surprise to see this old house, looking like some archeological remnant right out of a Franck painting. All the old homes around it have been transformed into restaurants, bar or some kind of business. This house still looks like an old home, which of course it is not any more. It is simply waiting to be restored to another eating establishment.

I must look into this Albert Franck - I love this shot - especially the little flashes of sunlight or reflections of same

I paint houses both physically and artistically. I too am in love with this picture. I love the art of Albert Frank. I have since started painting oil paintings of houses. And this picture confused me. It has the Perfection of a photograph. But it has the lightness and poetry of a painting. How did you achieve this?
