Yesterday I discovered this beautiful garden right in the centre of town. No you can't see it from the street because its hidden. It is completely enclosed and actually very small. But what an oasis of peace and quiet. It truly is a wonderful secret garden and I plan to go back to take some more images.

DRIFTWOOD, PEI
When searching my old negative files I discovered quite a few images which I had never printed. It is interesting that in time you discover pictures you initially overlooked. This image was one of a series of negatives I made on a piece of driftwood on a beach in PEI. It looks like the bleached bones of some prehistoric animal.

LOBSTER BOAT, PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND
This is an old picture from my archives. The reason i am posting this is that many years ago when I had printed this image, I had promised a copy to one of my friends and co-worker Brigid. I confess I forgot all about it but she just reminded me about my promise. Actually I am not even sure this is the actual image and actually, after seeing the print again, I still like the strong shape of this lobster boat.

MARINER 9, NGC OTTAWA
We just returned from a very enjoyable time in Ottawa. It was mainly a family visit but we still found time to visit the National Gallery, where we saw some excellent exhibitions. We especially enjoyed the Marc Chagall exhibition .On our tour of the gallery we saw this great video installation called Mariner 9 by the Canadian artist Kelly Richardson . She is one of the foremost artists working with digital technologies. It is a magnificent thought provoking video installation well worth a visit to the National Gallery.
