TROUT LILY

Another sign of Spring here in Ontario is the small and delicate trout Lily. A beautiful flower blooming in our woods in early Spring.

DUTCHMAN'S BREECHES

One of the first plants to flower is Dutchman's Breeches. When it blooms you know that Spring has truly arrived.

SPRING GARDEN

A light powdering of snow made for a nice picture of the garden. Spring is definitely here. When the sun came up everything was back to normal.

CHAMPLAIN PARK, MATTAWA, ONTARIO

No more ice and snow. On a walk along the shore of the Mattawa river I noticed these rocks which seem to have light inside them.

CHICKEN TOWN NEAR OTTAWA

I have been away in Ottawa for the Easter weekend. Did not take many pictures but when I passed a farm just outside of the city I could not resist photographing these chicken coops.

OLD KETTLE

Again I did not post for a few days. Here is a picture of a closeup of an antique kettle. I noticed how the sunlight intensified the colour. The result is a very tactile image.

THORN'S FARM

A handyman special don't you think. Actually its an shed on a farm down the street. I took this early this morning.

EARLY MORNING LIGHT

A gentle reminder this morning that Winter had not left yet. Waking up this morning I looked outside and surprise, more snow. At least it wont be around for long.

A cold winter day in Ottawa. Noticed the white dress in the window, which made the street a little more cheerfull.
