One last night image. I like this picture because of the colour. The red lines give this image a slightly abstract feel. The markings on the ground add perspective.

Another image from my excursions on Main street. What makes night photography so interesting is the variety of lighting sources which create different moods in the picture.

The two dimensional view of this image shows a composition of rectangles. The light and the colour give the image a forlorn impression.

Continued last night with my series of night images of North Bay. I started this project many years ago and felt it was time to see how things have changed.I think the city has become bleaker. The downtown looks run downa situation you will find in many small towns and cities all over North America.

I enjoy making panoramic images. The pictures give a different feel to a scene because of the perspective. In this image I used three negatives.

For some reason this picture of an old abandoned church gives me a strong feeling of Summer. I sepia toned the image and then handcoloured the image. Actually I did all that on the computer.

The gloxinia on my table is flowering. It reminds me of the movement of waves.

The last image of the wood on my blog. I have quite a few more but that could be too much. The pictures look more like paintings than photographs. Even though I enjoy this kind of subject matter I have to be aware that photography should not resemble other art forms. I should say that I have not manipulated these pictures except what any photographer would do in the traditional darkroom.

The next series of images are simply colour abstarctions. I photographed the ends of imported lumber from Malaysia. The small lumber companies identify their wodd with a personal colour code. This mkaes for ver interesting pictures.

NIPISSING MINES, COBALT, ONTARIO

Time for another picture. I have neglected my blog for a few days so here is another image from Cobalt. The ruins of the old Nipissing Mines Low Grade Mill. I have no idea what the function of big circular area was but it is visually an interesting feature of this image. It leaves it to the imagination to guess about the purpose.
